Avia S-92 Turbina

Last updated on: December 20, 2012

The Avia S-92 Turbina series is little more than a slightly upgraded Messerschmitt Me-262 produced after the war in Czechoslovakia. However, it still qualifies as one of the first post-war jet fighters in production and deserves some study. Just 12 were built, 9 as S-92 single-seat fighters and 3 as CS-92 two-seat trainers. Both variants are listed on this page.

This is a work in progress and any help would be appreciated. Information on these planes is rather difficult to locate online and this work will remain incomplete unless you the readers offer to help me. Please feel free to pass along any information that you might have.

At the end of this page is a list of people who have graciously offered their help. Thank you all very much!
